Villeneuve-sur-Lot. A donation for the cancerology committee 47 by the Villeneuvois Circle

It is a disease that affects us all. It strikes overwhelmingly women, but these women are also wives, mothers, sisters, friends. When cancer strikes, entire families are impacted.

Today, thanks to preventive actions which have multiplied, we manage to detect breast cancer before it is too advanced. Treatments are possible, which allow patients to have a real chance of survival. This is why, each year, the month of October is devoted to the dissemination of messages and the deployment of actions aimed at talking about breast cancer. Many volunteers are mobilizing, some because they have been confronted with this disease, on the other hand solidarity.

It is in this context of Pink October that the Cercle Villeneuvois collected, through its lotto organization activity, a substantial donation of €3,000 that President Xavier Clerc and his Board of Directors gave to Michèle Bauvy, departmental president of the Lot-et-Garonne Cancer Committee and presence of the Villeneuvoise team.
