Vincent Begaud, psychologist and EMDR therapist, has just joined the medical team of the Maison de Santé des Amandiers. EMDR is a therapy that consists of healing traumas and phobias through right-to-left eye movements and is aimed at people who are phobic or have post-traumatic disorders. Discovered by chance in 1987 by psychologist Francine Shapiro in San Francisco following personal experiences, this method was validated in France in 2007 by the Haute Autorité de Santé, by the WHO in 2013, then by Inserm in 2015. Coming from the Pyrénées-Orientales, Vincent Begaud first settled in Bram then, in April, he joined the town, where he proposes to offer his services to people traumatized, following an attack, mistreatment, accident, bereavement… The practice is open Monday from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tel. : 06 85 05 84 25.
