Maintaining the health of seniors, through regular physical activity, a balanced diet and awareness of environmental issues, is the driving force of the Siel Bleu Association, in particular through its program “For a Siel always Blue”, funded by the Conference of funders of the prevention of loss of autonomy (CFPPA) of the Lot. The association, already present in Figeacois, is setting up a program for seniors over 60: 22 sessions of adapted physical activities (APA) of one and a half hours. The municipality of Saint-Chels was chosen for the implementation of the program. In partnership with the town hall, a conference hosted by the Siel Bleu Association to present the program will be held on Thursday May 25 at 10 a.m. in the village hall of Saint-Chels. This conference will be an opportunity to present the program and will open registrations for participation in the latter. The program will begin on Thursday, June 8, with one workshop per week, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Saint-Chels village hall. The inhabitants of the surrounding municipalities are invited to the meeting and to the workshops. Since this project is fully funded by the Lot CFPPA, the 22 workshops are completely free for those who will benefit from them. It is therefore recommended to register in advance as the number of places is limited.
