For nearly nine years, a culture and health partnership has linked the Aveyron Conservatory to the Saint-François de Rodez day hospital of the Sainte-Marie hospital center which supports people suffering from mental disorders.
Intervening with all audiences is the mission of the Conservatoire. Just as it intervenes in schools, with childcare facilities or for the elderly, the Conservatory offers interventions for health establishments.
In this context, Émilie Marzilli, artist-teacher at the Conservatory, regularly leads a musical workshop with a group of patients from Saint-François Hospital. This work, carried out throughout the school year by the teacher and the group, gives rise, this year, to a musical show open to the public, Wednesday, May 31, at 7:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Conservatoire. Accompanied by student accordionists from Émilie Marzilli’s class, patients from Saint-François Hospital will present creations of body percussion, songs, rhythmic nursery rhymes…
Wednesday 31 May, at 7.30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Conservatoire. More information on 05 65 73 80 30. Free admission by reservation on 05 65 47 83 40 (free participation).
