Residents of the Barrère unit recently participated in a therapeutic meal whose theme was the Orient. In Ehpad, the therapeutic meal is part of the non-drug therapies. It helps maintain social ties with other residents, caregivers and families. So, from the morning, everyone was busy peeling and cutting the turnips, zucchini, carrots and celery which went to join the chickpeas, grapes and lamb in giant couscoussiers. “No meal without dessert,” some residents had said; also followed the preparation of samosas with almond powder and orange blossom, donuts with honey and coconut cakes.

The whole culinary session took place in a good mood, under the watchful eye of the chefs and pastry chefs of the day, Najet and Zineb and the team. This moment of exchange and sharing between residents and caregivers ended around a mint tea and an oriental fashion show.
