The dental bus project imagined in 2019 by the Gers Red Cross has been completed and has started its rounds. The municipality of Ordan-Larroque is one of the 8 villages that have benefited to date from this system, the success of which is undeniable in view of the first very satisfactory and encouraging feedback. The schedules for the next tours are already full.
In partnership with the ARS, the CPAM and the MSA, supported by the Department of Gers, Crédit Agricole, Groupama, Buccotherm, the Fondation de France, the Signal group, “the dental bus is committed to a process of going as close as possible to villages without a dental office, for better access to care. It is also a way of connecting future dentists with the territory and therefore of favoring future establishments in the department”, rejoices Marie-Josée Zago, vice-president of the Red Cross 32.
Patients are cared for by students at the end of their dental studies, with the supervision of seven dentists from the Gers department, present in turn on the bus.
Next stop in Ordan, Tuesday, June 13 afternoon. All appointments are made directly with the Gers Red Cross.
