The Stark County High School student council put together a week long “Hope Week” to raise awareness for all different types of cancer.
The goal was to raise $3,500 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in the process. Through a community dinner, raffles and donations, over $5,300 was raised.
English teacher Mrs. Nolan had agreed to shave her head if the goal was met, and so in an assembly Friday, students did the honor.
