D- 365 for the Simon de Cyrène establishment
The Simon de Cyrène building, made up of three shared houses, in the heart of Pibrac, will soon be out of water. In less than 365 days, in May 2024, it will welcome 33 people, including 18 with disabilities. This achievement of 6 million euros is financed at 52% by the association which is still looking for 800,000€ to complete the financing. Donations are needed.
The project started in February 2017, launched by Armelle Pagès. project manager. Eelle is actively preparing the next stage: the occupation of the houses.
Recruitment of residents is ongoing. The facility will accommodate people with inborn or accidental brain damage. Requests should be addressed to the association.
The medical team is formed. Doctors of all specialties, speech therapists, physiotherapists, nurses were contacted. Now, the association is recruiting the life team, with or without qualifications, which will allow the operation of the structure.
Fifteen roommates will accompany the 18 residents in their daily lives. Three house managers will lead the living together. A manager, a medico-social coordinator are also wanted, as are life auxiliaries, nursing staff and educational monitors. Volunteers and civic services are also welcome.
