The multidisciplinary health center (MSP) welcomed the first patients in September 2022. It has just been officially inaugurated.
Mayor Elisabeth Claverie has just welcomed all the guests for the inauguration of the multidisciplinary health center. She recalled the different stages that made it possible to carry out this project initiated in 2020.
Listening to health professionals, she underlined their total involvement in this construction which benefited from aid from the state, the departmental council, and the municipality.
At the beginning, there were two doctors and a nurse, Azalée, and nine months later, three doctors, a midwife, and a nurse work together.
The objective of the municipality is to have in a few months, one or two additional doctors at the service of Lescuriens.
Local care
Etienne Moulin, president of the council of the order of doctors of the Tarn, welcomed the creation of this health center, stressing that today, very few doctors work alone. This health center will allow residents to have access to a range of local care. For Etienne Moulin, it is necessary to develop the attractiveness of the department, not only for tourism, but also from a medical point of view. The MSP is a solution for attracting young practitioners and thus maintaining an essential care offer. On behalf of the doctors, Doctor Urbain thanked the municipality for this achievement where caregivers outside the nursing home will work in coordination, as nurses or podiatrists.
