Today or tomorrow, we are or will be helping a fragile person, an elderly relative, a sick relative. Being listened to, heard, understood, but also receiving sound advice allows you to feel supported and to continue to move forward while feeling supported.

The support and respite platform for carers, funded by the Regional Health Agency and supported by Apas 82 (Promotion, Autonomy and Health Association), aims to support people who are caring for an elderly parent, a sick relative with memory problems and/or loss of autonomy. The platform team, as part of its support for caregivers, can also meet you at home for a more individual listening.

As part of its missions, the support and respite platform for caregivers, in partnership with the French Association for Caregivers, offers you a Café for caregivers, Monday June 19 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Apas premises 82, 25, rue Lavoisier in Caussade. Please register on 05 63 20 57 21. Whether you are concerned directly or indirectly, caregiver, friend, neighbour, the Caregivers Café is a friendly and warm moment to discuss but also be informed about the disease, the effects aging, possible aid, how to facilitate and improve daily life, etc. Yohana Colé or Sabrina Pinto, professionals in the field, will welcome you and lead these meetings. The next Carers Café in Caussade will take place on Monday 25 September. These meetings are free.

Board game workshop for caregivers

The Apas 82 offers you simple and original games to promote laughter and gain self-esteem. Amandine, an animator specializing in the field of games, leads exciting games. These workshops take place in partnership with the Caussade toy library, once a month, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., 21, avenue du Général-Leclerc in Caussade.

Please contact the service of the support and respite platform for carers to register on 05 63 20 57 21. Internet: www.apas82.fr
