Two pairs of budgies have just settled in their new aviary in the Cantou in downtown Caussade.
As part of their school curriculum at the Clair-Foyer private vocational high school in Caussade, four first-grade students who are preparing for a professional baccalaureate option services to people and territories (Sapat), Alicia, Lénie, Marion and Roufouanti, under led by their head teacher Christelle Léturgie, showed a project with the Le Jardin d’Émilie nursing home and more specifically with the Cantou du centre-ville.
In partnership with their comrades in the pet store sales sector, these students organized several meetings with their elders from Cantou, inviting them to visit the high school pet store, participating in creative activities with the residents, introducing them to the parakeets , then proceeding to their installation which took place last Thursday, in the presence of teachers and Cantou officials.

After the care instructions provided by the pet store coordinator teacher, Sabrina Bernabeu, the four budgies have moved into their new home, which has been placed on the patio of the establishment. Boarding students from the animal sector will come every Wednesday afternoon to ensure that the parakeets enjoy good living conditions.
But already, the residents are delighted with the presence of their new companions and there is no doubt that they will be able to take care of them. In a few days, when the two couples will be perfectly acclimatized, the nests will be able to be installed again… for generations to come.
