Suffering from stiff man syndrome, Celine Dion has canceled all her concerts in Europe until 2024. To combat the disease, the Quebec singer is undergoing heavy treatment which would cost her 40,000 euros per month.

“It would be unfair to you to postpone the concerts once again, and although it breaks my heart, it is better to cancel everything now, until I am really ready to go back on stage” wrote Celine Dion when she had to draw a line under her next concerts, until April 2024.

Difficulty eating or breathing

In December, the Quebec singer revealed that she suffered from a serious neurological disorder called “stiff man syndrome”. A disease that causes muscle spasms and ankylosing deformities, which handicap the daily life of the star. “I sometimes have a lot of difficulty walking and I can’t always use my vocal cords as I would like,” she explained the singer.

According to the magazine Public, it would even experience certain difficulties in eating or breathing. From day to day, the Canadian singer would follow “a particularly heavy treatment, based on immunoglobulins to relieve muscle spasms”. A daily care, for which Celine Dion would spend nearly 40,000 euros per month.
