A reception of the GIP santé ma region in charge of the portage of salaried doctors was organized by E. Cros, mayor of Laguépie and its municipal council. The visit was attended in particular by the sub-prefect Julien Henrard, Vincent Bounes vice-president of Occitanie in charge of health, Cathy Bourdoncle for the department, Patrice Garrigues and Serge Regourd for Occitanie, Gilles Bonsang president of the QRGA, the director of the Villefranche hospital, the director of the EHPAD in Laguépie. Vincent Bounes spoke at the town hall to explain the current difficult situation in terms of health and in particular in the sector. He also presented all the measures that had been taken by the Region. He specified that the installation of doctors on the Tarn-et-Garonne is a priority and on Laguépie in particular. Cathy Bourdoncle pointed out that the Department puts all its energy into facilitating the installation of young doctors, by also pointing out personalized visits such as that of a couple of doctors who spent a discovery weekend in the sector. After the interventions of other health personnel who showed their current difficulties and the fact that requests for health acts closer to medicine than their professions do not allow them to carry out. The sub-prefect Julien Henrard announced that the health problem is a major priority for Tarn-et-Garonne “ We all try to act for salaried medicine, but we didn’t create it with a magic wand. The State will of course be present to support all the projects “. Mayor E. Cros thanked the sub-prefect for these encouraging words and of course hoping for a favorable follow-up for the installations. The visit continued at the fire station and at the EHPAD in Laguépie. From this visit it was followed by hopes to finally see the next installation of salaried doctors on this eastern sector of Tarn-et-Garonne, bordering Tarn and Aveyron.
