Exhibitions of paintings… original decorative objects… demonstrations… singing in English… line dancing… chair yoga… tai-chi-do… Ladies with hands and hearts of gold who have also makes decorations for the pediatric department of the Purpan hospital in Toulouse… A hundred seniors (out of approximately 150 registered), faithful to the CCAS workshops throughout the year, met in the Salle de la Concorde to close a season still rich in diverse, varied… and free activities. Each and everyone had brought a savory or sweet dish and in the end, the tables were overflowing with specialties that whetted the appetite.

A delicious meal where, among the countless desserts, the magnificent strawberries of pastry chef René, assisted by his wife Gisèle, were as beautiful as they were good… Moreover, the friendly chef had shared his recipe with the faithful of his pastry workshop who already regret since he puts an end to this adventure with the CCAS to finally enjoy a well-deserved retirement!

Because people aged 65 and over in Bordeaux are spoiled for choice when it comes to getting started, perfecting their skills or indulging in hobbies that become real, highly prized meetings, according to everyone’s tastes: walking, dancing in line, tai-chi-do, chair yoga, gym, plastic arts, creative manual work, brain sports, brainstorming, baking, painting, English, souvenir souvenirs, reading, gourmet games…

And Sophie Drapier, deputy mayor, informed them of the new features for the next school year where they will be offered, in addition: laughter yoga, conversation in Spanish, prevention of falls, review of the highway code, manufacture of household products… dances as a couple… as well as the organization of an outing in the Gers at the end of September!

Mayor Jérôme Crampe came to share a moment with his citizens and say a big thank you to all those who lead these workshops, often on a voluntary basis; he wished everyone a great summer, hoping to meet as many, if not more, at the start of the school year.
