Last week, Odette and Pierre Feuillerat celebrated their 75 years together.

For all native Agens, the Feuillerat house, located on the Place de la Cathédrale, was an institution of weighing and balance. Jean Feuillerat, from Toulouse, could not find work in his home town and therefore decided to try his luck in Agen in 1944. His family followed him, including his son Pierre, born in 1928. The Feuillerat father and son house was founded and now , in the region, all that is weighed will pass through their scales.

The young Pierre, aged 19, then meets his sweetheart, Odette, who is only 17 years old. Marriage seems obvious to the lovebirds who will marry a year later. From this union will be born a son, Michel, who is passionate about rugby and in particular the SUA of which he will wear the colors with great talent.

Alas with the Feuillerats, there is no room for play. It’s work first. And even if Michel’s heart swings, family pressure will be the strongest and he will leave his heart club with regret. Now deceased, Michel leaves two daughters, Christine and Corinne, who brought the whole family together to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Pierre and Odette’s marriage. An exceptional day for a couple who hold an important place in the hearts of the people of Age.
